A Burnham-On-Sea runner has completed his 61st half marathon this week — and his charity total now exceeds £26,000.
Jason Vickers completed the Warsaw half marathon in Poland at the weekend in a time of 2.49.48.
“Despite it being very cold, it was a great run with 20,000 runners from 60 countries — a memorable experience,” he told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
The plucky runner, who suffers from Crohn’s Disease, added: “I really enjoyed taking part, and seeing the sights of Warsaw.”
Thanks to the support of local people, Jason, who works at Burnham-On-Sea’s Tesco supermarket, has raised £26,136 for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Jason also recently received £250 from Burnham Masonic Lodge towards his charity fundraising.
