A Burnham-On-Sea fundraiser has completed his 50th half marathon this week and raised a further £3,600 for a good cause close to his heart.
Jason Vickers, who works at Burnham’s Tesco supermarket, completed the Great North Run on Sunday in a time of 2:49:59.
The plucky runner, who suffers from Crohn’s Disease, has now raised a total of more than £22,000 for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Jason told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It was great to complete the Great North Run at the weekend – it was very hot and quite humid so it was tough going but I enjoyed it.”
“It was the ninth time I have run the Great North Run and my 50th half marathon overall.”
He added: “I would like to thank all my supporters locally for all their support and everyone at Tesco in Burnham for their encouragement.”
