Jason hit the milestone this week after collecting £800 in three days during supermaket collections at Burnham’s Tesco and Morrisons stores.
Jason, who works at Burnham’s Tesco supermarket, is in training to complete both the Bristol Half Marathon and the Great North Run next month – raising further cash for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
The plucky runner, who has suffered from Crohn’s Disease for the past 17 years, took part in this year’s London Marathon, finishing in a time of five hours and 36 minutes.
Jason told Burnham-On-Sea.com this week: “The people of Burnham are very generous and supportive of my fundraising. I’m delighted to have raised £5,049 for MS over the past four years.”
