Burnham-On-Sea fundraiser Jason Vickers has this week thanked customers at a supermarket in the town for helping him raise over £1,300 for charity.
Jason has held a week-long collection for the Multiple Sclerosis Society in the foyer of Burnham’s Tesco store.
He managed to collect £1,326 through the week, pushing his overall total for the charity to a huge £22,010.
“My raffle and collections were very well supported through the week, and I am proud to have raised over £22,000 – I have had so much great support from customers,” Jason told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
Jason, who works at Burnham’s Tesco supermarket, will be taking part in the Great North Run this September and Burnham’s half marathon in October.
The plucky runner, who suffers from Crohn’s Disease, added: “I would like to thank all my supporters locally for all their support and everyone at Tesco in Burnham for their encouragement.”
