Burnham-On-Sea runner raises over £600 for Cancer Research

-

Burnham-On-Sea runner James Warren gives his finishig medal a kiss after completing the Bristol and Bath Marathon and raising hundreds of pounds for charity in the process.

James completed the inaugural marathon and also organised a successful quiz night that has raised more than £600 for Cancer Research.

James, who completed the challenging 26.2 mile course in 3 hours 50:53, said it was worth the effort and that he was pleased with his time.

The Halloween-themed quiz that was held in The Dunstan House was also well supported by local business and individuals who donated prizes for raffle.

“It’s great to see local businesses such as Riches, Bennetts, Ritz Cinema, Oak Tree Arena and Wookey Hole getting behind such a great cause,” James said.

“And with the BEES theatre group and The Dunstan house also donating prizes and support it made it a great amount.”
