Burnham-On-Sea resident in the spotlight at Somerset drama awards

-

A Burnham-On-Sea resident has picked up a best supporting actress award at the Somerset Fellowship of Drama Phoebe Rees ceremony.

Jacqui Strong, pictured, won it after performing the role of Ida in the West Huntspill Players production of See How They Run earlier this year.

The group was also nominated for awards for best wardrobe, props and supporting actor.

Jacqui said: “We had a strong cast and a very funny play to perform by Philip King. Whilst I feel honoured to have received the award, it was very much a team effort under the direction of David Jenkins.”

Fellow actor Alistair Murray won the supporting actor award at the recent Rose Bowl Awards, held in Weston, as we reported here.
