The sights and sounds of vintage farm machinery working in summers gone by are set to return to Isleport Farm in Highbridge later this month.
The annual Isleport Steam and Vintage Working Show takes place on July 25th and 26th and promises to be another great day out for all the family.
Attractions will include hay making, threshing and wood sawing demonstrations, plus blacksmithing and a large number of vintage vehicles including steam engines, tractors, cars, commercial vehicles and stationary engines.
The South West Tractor Pullers will also be demonstrating tractor pulling – an event that has been very popular at previous shows.
Co-organisers Mike Lawrence and Richard Newman made a presentation to the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance of £1,000 following last year’s successful show.
“We will be supporting the Air Ambulance and Macmillan Cancer Support again this year and hope to be able to make similar donations to these two worthy charities,” said Richard.
The show is open from 10am-5pm on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are: adults £6 and children under 16 free.
Isleport Farm can be found just North of Highbridge near Junction 22 of the M5, Post code TA9 4QX.
