A Highbridge firm’s multi-million pound expansion scheme has this week been given the green light by district council planners.
Isleport Foods had applied for full planning permission to build a 3,000 square metre extension to its food production facility outside Highbridge – and planners this week gave it the nod.
Over seventeen conditions have been placed on the firm, however, to ensure the new building (pictured here) meets various regulations.
These cover such issues as ensuring satisfactory facilities are available for the disposal of foul water; preventing pollution; ensuring there is adequate space for parking; safeguarding local residents from noise and disturbance; and protecting the privacy of existing properties.
