A man was taken to hospital after being attacked during a violent burglary at an industrial park in Highbridge at the weekend.
Officers were called to a warehouse used by Isleport Foods in Gass Close in the early hours of Saturday morning (January 29th) after a staff member was hit from behind.
Police spokesman Wayne Baker told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Police were called to an incident at the Isleport Business Park between 12.55am-1.30am on Saturday January 29th.”
“An employee with a food company was reported to have been approached from behind and hit. He was taken to Weston General Hospital with minor injuries and received treatment before leaving shortly afterwards.”
“Police are treating the incident as an aggravated burglary. Police enquiries are continuing.”
