An inspirational sixth form student at Highbridge’s King Alfred School Academy is embarking on a bid to become one of Britain’s best neuroscientists.
Sky Chambers, in Year 13, is one of the many sixth form students who are thriving at the school, which has one of the highest achieving sixth forms in Somerset.
Sky is now planning out her career as an expert of the brain and nervous system and is aiming for a place at the University of Nottingham.
Sky recently completed a work experience placement at Burnham-On-Sea’s Somewhere House which gave her an awareness of helping people with drug and alcohol addictions through neuroscience.
She said: “I really want to go into a career in neuroscience. King Alfred School Academy has been really helpful in helping me find my future career.”
A sixth form open evening is being held at the Academy on Wednesday 23rd January 2019 from 6-7.30pm, as previewed here.
