A new book featuring the drawings and text from Burnham-On-Sea’s new seafront information panels has been officially presented to the town’s Mayor this week.
Burnham-On-sea.com reported last month how six information panels had been unveiled along the seafront by Cllr Neville Jones and Burnham and Highbridge Regeneration Partnership Chairman, Mike Murphy.
This week, a book featuring drawings and text from the panels has been officially handed over to Cllr Eric Gill, Mayor of Burnham and Highbridge, by Cllr Jones.
Each panel provides background information about the town’s history, including its lighthouses, life-saving services and local wildlife. In recent days, a steady flow of visitors has been reading the new panels, which begin near the BARB hovercraft station and are sited every few hundred yards up to St Andrew’s Church.
