Two pupils at a Burnham-On-Sea school became assistant head teachers for a day this week as a reward for their 100 per cent attendance at the school over the last three years.
Oliver Cook and Charlotte Small, both pupils at Burnham Infants School, were promoted to the role of assistant head teachers on the final day of term on Wednesday (July 22nd).
The headteacher of Burnham Infants School, Andrew Marsh, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We wanted to reward them both for their superb attendance of 100% over three years by giving them something they would remember for a long time.”
“Making them assistant head teachers for a day was a way of recognising them and it also gave them an insight into the work of teachers at the school.”
The pair were also presented with a dictionary and an art set.
