The coldest night of the winter so far saw temperatures in Burnham-On-Sea falling to -7°C as the cold snap continued.
These were the wintry scenes at Apex Park this morning (Saturday) where the lakes were frozen over with a thick coating of ice.
The Met Office issued an yellow warning of icy weather for the region and Somerset County Council’s gritters again treated roads in the Burnham and Highbridge area to prevent slippery conditions for motorists.
Temperatures are forecast struggle to get above 3°C today.
