A Burnham-On-Sea hypnotherapist has scooped a national award and been voted ‘Best Clinical Hypnotherapist 2018 in the South West’.
Elise De Viell, who has been practicing for six years in clinics in Burnham-On-Sea, Taunton and Bridgwater, says she’s delighted to have received the award from Global Health and Pharma (GHP) at the 2018 Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Awards.
Elise says she’s happy that hypnotherapy is increasingly recognised amongst the medical profession.
“With the increased use of EEG and magnetic brain imaging devices, we can actually see what is happening in the brain during trance and more meditative states.”
“It is fascinating stuff, and the more research that is conducted into the area, the better.”
Elise submits her anonymous client outcome data to help to gather a body of evidence in the UK, hoping to make hypnotherapy a more mainstream therapy that can be offered to everyone who needs it. Currently, her clients are all privately funded.
“The more research we do in this area, the more accessible it will become to wider community,” she adds.
