Huntspill Cricket Club is celebrating after one of its members has been nationally recognised for her safeguarding work.
Amanda Counsell has been highly commended at the England and Wales Cricket Board ‘Cricket Collective Awards’ in the Safe Hands Award category for her contribution towards safeguarding.
Amanda told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Safeguarding Young Cricketers and vulnerable adults is such an important part of all sport and I am honoured and humbled to receive this acknowledgement from the ECB and to have been nominated by colleagues and friends within cricket in Somerset.”
