A group of residents near Burnham-On-Sea has installed a humorous roadside sign in an effort to encourage motorists to slow down and help local wildlife.
Bearing the wording “For Duck’s Sake Slow Down,” the sign has been placed next to a Rooksbridge rhyne where ducks and ducklings frequently cross the road.
One local resident told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We hope to grab the attention of motorists and encourage them to think twice about their speed. Sadly, ducks have been lost here to passing vehicles over the years.”
