Graffiti vandals leave Jubilee message on Highbridge Hotel hoardings

-

Cheeky graffiti vandals have painted a Jubilee-themed message on the wooden hoardings outside the derelict Highbridge Hotel.

The message ‘what can I do to make you love me?’ has been spraypainted along the length of the hoardings, along with Jubilee bunting.

Highbridge district councillor Joe Leach told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “While I don’t support graffiti anywhere, the statement that’s been painted here is synonymous of the town’s feelings. Residents want something to be done about the hotel and a bit of love shown to it.”

The former Highbridge Hotel has been derelict since a huge blaze in April 2008. The hoarding was introduced last August in a bid to screen some of the building from motorists entering the town via the A38.
