Burnham-On-Sea has been basking in a weekend of high temperatures as a mini-heatwave arrives.
Temperatures in Burnham reached 20.8C (69.4F) on Saturday after hitting 22C (71.6F) on Friday and 21.8C (71.2F) on Thursday.
The Met Office says temperatures could reach 24C (75F) in the region over the weekend – well above the average of 16C (61F) for this month.
The hot spell brings a welcome end to the April showers and chilly temperatures that have lasted well into the month.
Dan Williams, from the Met Office, said: “It’s a period of fine and dry weather with some above average temperatures for a few days, but it looks like we could see unsettled conditions early next week so it won’t be long-lived.”
