The Friends of Burnham-On-Sea Hospital is holding a special concert later this month to raise much-needed funds for equipment to help improve the lives of patients at the hospital.
The Friends have already provided £310,000 this year towards the major refurbishment of the hospital and they have this week decided to buy new mattresses aimed to making patients with pressure sores more comfortable.
The group’s first concert in the Princess Theatre last year was a sell-out and the Friends of the hospital hope this year’s event on 23rd October in King Alfred School Hall should be equally popular.
The King Alfred Concert Band will be performing, along with some talented local soloists. Tickets, costing £6 each, include a glass of wine and substantial nibbles.
A grand tombola with 100 prizes, many donated by local businesses, will mean that few audience members should go home empty-handed. Tickets can be obtained from GC Music or by phoning 783121 or 785727.
