Hundreds of colourful flowers went on display at Burnham-On-Sea and District Horticultural Society’s annual summer show on Saturday (August 12th).
The popular show, which is now in its fifth decade, was held at Burnham Community Centre.
Judges praised the high standard of entries during a challenging growing season for many local gardeners.
Show secretary David Bryant said: “It’s been a great show – the floral art in particular was superb and there were also some great craft entries this year.”

John Chinn was awarded the Banksian Medal, a Royal Horticultural Society award. The medal is awarded to worthy horticulturalists who win the most points in horticultural classes covering fruit, flowers and vegetables.
