Burnham-On-Sea’s Horticultural Show underway this weekend

-

The 43rd show, run by Burnham & District Horticultural Society, is being held at Sanders Garden World in Brent Knoll over two days.

The show is open to the public on Saturday from 1pm until 6pm and on Sunday from 10am until 4pm. The prize-giving and awards presentation ceremony will be held at 3.45pm on Sunday.

Visitors will also be able to see entries of flowers, fruit and vegetables plus photographs, paintings, cards and even homemade wine.

Entrants in the Burnham Allotment Society sponsored classes will be showing off what they hope will be the heaviest home-grown onions and potatoes in the area and the longest runner beans.

Peter Burks, General Manager at Sanders GardenWorld, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We’re delighted to have this prestigious horticultural and craft-based event on-site again this year. It looks set to be a wonderful event, which we are glad to support it.”
