Keen gardeners are being invited to show off their skills at the annual Burnham-On-Sea Horticultural Society Show.
The show, now in its 43rd year, will take place at Sanders Garden World in Brent Knoll over the coming weekend (Saturday August 14th and Sunday 15th).
It will feature a range of categories, from amateur photography to floral art, and entrants will have the opportunity to win a variety of prizes in ten sections and 133 classes.
Classes will be available for children in two categories – under 11-year-olds and 11 to 16-year-olds.
Society treasurer Les Wallis told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We’re always keen to cultivate new interest in horticulture and I’m sure the event will encourage lots of people to come and see how much fun gardening can be.”
The show opens on August 14th from 1pm-6pm and on August 15th from 10am-4pm. The prize-giving ceremony will be held at 3.45pm on the Sunday.
Details on how to enter, fees and a complete list of classes can be obtained from show secretary David Bryant on 01278 761111.
