Gardeners, growers, handicraft hobbyists, cooks and amateur photographers showed off their work during the 39th annual Burnham-On-Sea Horticultural show at the weekend.
This year’s well-supported event boasted no fewer than 500 entries – covering floral art, handicraft, photography, flowers, wines, fruit and vegetables – and was held over two days at Sanders Garden World.
There were ten sections and 129 classes to be entered with 24 cups, five shields, two medals, one trophy, one tankard and a rose bowl up for grabs.
Show secretary David Bryant told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It’s been a very good weekend. The standard of entries was good considering the exceptionally hot weather we’ve had in recent weeks. The floral art classes in particular have been outstanding and the vegetables were very good too. We look foward to being back here again next summer for our 40th show.”
