Fire crews were called out to rescue a horse stuck in a water-filled ditch near Burnham-On-Sea on Thursday evening (November 24th).
Crews from Burnham-On-Sea and Bridgwater were called to Withy Grove in East Huntspill.
“A fire crew ppliance from Burnham-On-Sea and the special rescue team from Bridgwater were mobilised to the incident,” said a spokesman.
“On arrival, crews confirmed a horse was stuck in a water and mud-filled ditch. Crews got to work to release the horse using a head harness, strops, and a telehandler.”
The horse was safely rescued and was given back to the farmer.
