Horse rescued from Lympsham rhyne by Burnham fire crews

A horse had to be winched to safety after getting stuck in a rhyne near Burnham-On-Sea on Monday morning (July 22nd).

Crews from Burnham-On-Sea fire station were called to Lympsham just after 10.30am.

Two fire engines from Burnham and a 4×4 vehicle from Bridgwater were used to help rescue the horse.

“Crews cleared vegetation and then used specialist rescue equipment to rescue the horse which was then left in the care of its owners,” a spokesman told Burnham-On-sea.com.
