Hoodies aren’t all bad! Burnham tennis players unveil new clothing

-

Young tennis players in Burnham-On-Sea are sporting new hoodies this week thanks to the support of a local firm.

The Avenue Tennis Club’s Yellow and Orange Academy players have smart new Academy Squad hoodies.

Head Coach Vinny Duddy says it’s all thanks to Geoff Thorne, a member of the club and owner of Jester Prints Ltd, who has given his support in helping with the provision of the clothing for several years now.

Vinny said: “It’s great to see all the kids in the same smart tops. Although tennis can be an individual sport, the hoodies help to encourage a group and team ethic.”

The club have three academy squads for under 8 year-olds (Red Ball), 8 to 9 year-olds (Orange Ball) and over 10s (Yellow Ball). To find out more about the squads, which run every night of the week and Saturdays, contact Vinny at the Avenue on 01278 782758.
