A Berrow holiday park has this week been granted permission to build a new development of more than 30 holiday cottages.
Sandy Glade Holiday Park in Coast Road has won the go-ahead from Sedgemoor District Council to construct 31 holiday cottages, contained within five two storey blocks.
As part of the scheme, the site’s owner John Fowler Holidays will also remove an existing caravan sales area adjacent to the main buildings.
The plans cover the construction of a new landscaped parking area, plus changes to all parking spaces.
In approving the scheme, Sedgemoor District Council’s planners have placed nine conditions on the owners of the site.
One condition is that that development should not start until a landscape planting scheme has been submitted to the council and approved.
