Dozens join the fun and games at Burnham summer holiday club

Over 60 children are attending a summer holiday club, called Going Bananas, at Burnham-On-Sea’s Baptist Church this week.

Each day the children check in with ‘Banana Airways’ and fly to the tropical island for games, songs, messy fun and the chance to meet some famous Bible characters.

This is all thanks to a time travelling machine which brings them from Bible times to the island.

Organiser Linda Ayers explained: “The hall at the Baptist church has been transformed into a tropical paradise and it is great for us to escape the miserable weather in the UK and head off to the sun. The children are really getting in the spirit of things and having a fantastic time.”

“There are still places available if you would like to join them. Come along at 9.45am on Thursday or Friday, and 10.30am on Sunday for their special Going Bananas service.”
