Burnham-On-Sea carnival club receives £1,000 boost from Lions

-

Burnham-On-Sea’s Hillview Carnival Club received a welcome financial boost on Wednesday evening (June 1st) when it was presented with a donation from the town’s Lions Club.

Burnham Lions handed over £1,000 to the team from Hillview, who are already busy at work planning their entry for this year’s carnival season.

Lion Andrew Bryant told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We are delighted to support Hillview, which is Burnham’s only carnival club. The carnival brings a lot of enjoyment to many thousands of people and Hillview deserves support in these difficult economic times.”

The money was raised partly during Burnham Lions Club’s recent river duck race.
