Burnham-On-Sea’s Hillview Carnival Club held a successful coffee morning on Saturday (April 18th) to raise funds for this year’s carnival cart.
A steady flow of visitors attended the fundraising event at Burnham’s Baptist Church in College Street, where stalls and resfreshments were set up to raise funds.
“There were many stalls – a bottle stall, a raffle and many small businesses for people to visit and buy from, plus refreshments offering cakes, teas and coffees,” said a Hillview spokesperson.
The event raised £124 towards the cost of this year’s Hillview carnival cart, which is already being constructed ahead of this year’s procession in Burnham in November.
