Burnham-On-Sea’s Hillview Carnival Club enjoying successful season

Burnham-On-Sea’s Hillview Carnival Club is enjoying a successful carnival season, winning the praise of judges and crowds at events across Somerset.

The club’s space-themed float, called ‘Reach 4 The Stars’, won second places in the juvenile category in Bridgwater, Burnham-On-Sea, Weston and North Petherton – with Shepton to come this evening (Wednesday).

The club’s Lyn Burland told Burenham-On-Sea.com: “We’re really plaesed with how it’s going – everyone in the club is having a great time.”

“The children are loving it and we’ve had good weather so far. We just hope for a successful few last events over the next few days.”

Hillview also won the award for ‘best local entry’ and ‘most outstanding local costumes’ at Burnham Carnival last Monday and the club also picked up the Chairman’s Choice award for best local entry.
