The play area located near to Talbot Close in Highbridge is set for improvements costing £4,881.
The play area has proved very popular since the last refurbishment took place in 2014, which consisted of a new climbing frame, see-saw and roundabout.
Further investment is now planned this month where a basket swing with safety surface will be installed.
Work is underway and is scheduled to be completed by the council’s contractors by the end of the week.
Scott Mason, Parks Development Team Leader, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Basket swings are great for users of all ages and can hold multiple people at any one time, increasing the play value and interaction opportunities.”
The project has been funded from Sedgemoor’s parks development budget.
