Over £400 has been raised for a Burnham-On-Sea charity by a Highbridge tattoo studio’s fundraising event.
Coping Studios in Church Street, Highbridge which opened last month as we reported here marked Mental Health Awareness Day by offering £15 tattoos with all profits going to Somewhere House Somerset to support its mental health work.
Owner Sam Scott told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Around 35-40 people attended and we raised £437 for Somewhere House Somerset. We are so proud to be supporting them and we met some really lovely inspirational people.”
“Everyone said what a calming atmosphere it was and we have had lots of amazing feedback.”
“We are so thankful to everyone who came and showed their support and we look forward to doing many more events like this as we feel so passionate about mental health. We are also offering private sittings for anyone who wants their self-harm scars covered up.”
He added: “Somewhere House Somerset do great work in providing mental health support locally. I have previously struggled with mental health issues myself in the past so know the great work they do. We are keen to help them all we can and will be holding regular fundraising events.”
