Highbridge community gardens receive a makeover

-

Members of Highbridge Residents Association are celebrating this week after a project to smarten up a community garden in the town was completed.

New fencing and gates have been introduced at the public gardens in Trowbridge Close, as pictured.

It comes after £2,000 of grant funding was secured by the group to undertake a programme of improvements.

Tina told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We applied for a grant to improve the community via Sedgemoor Tenants Voice and Homes In Sedgemoor and were delighted to get the go-ahead.”

“The gardens were in a poor state of repair but are now much smarter in time for local people to enjoy the Spring weather.”

She added that several local buildings have been cleaned and stair wells have had a fresh lick of paint as part of the programme of work.
