A long-serving organiser of Highbridge’s Festival Of The Arts was presented with a special award on Saturday (March 3rd) to mark his 25 years of involvement with the event.
Frank Burton received a certificate from the town’s Mayor and Mayoress, Michael and Maria Clarke, and Festival Chairman Chris Harris, as pictured, during a ceremony at Burnham’s Princess Theatre.
Chris told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Frank has given so much to this event over the past quarter of a century and we wanted to make such an important milestone. He has been an invaluable member of the team.”
Frank added: “There have been ups and downs over the years, but I have enjoyed my time with the festival very much and I thank everyone for their support. This festival has grown over the years and is now recognised as being the best of its kind in the region, if not the whole country.”
