Highbridge will be holding a special event to turn on its Christmas lights this evening (Saturday, November 16th).
The event will start at 2pm with a Christmas Craft and Gift Fair in the Community Hall in Market Street.
At 4.30pm, the Churchfield School Choir will perform songs and carols in the porch attended by the Mayor Cllr Andy Brewer before the switch-on itself at 5pm.
Following a performance of the Choir and speeches by Mike Murphy, Chairman of Highbridge Chamber, the town centre lights will be illuminated.
Burnham’s Christmas lights switch-on will go ahead on Saturday November 23rd.
