Bosses at Highbridge Caravans have thanked the local community for their support following a huge fire which destroyed 160 caravans worth over £1m on Saturday.
As first reported here, crews were called from across Somerset to battle the blaze at around 1.30am on Saturday when 160 caravans were destroyed.
Philip Davies, Director at Highbridge Caravans, pictured, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “There have been so many messages of support over the last couple of days – from locals, customers and suppliers. Everyone has been wanting to help us at this difficult time, which is really humbling.”
On Sunday, Burnham and Highbhridge’s Carnival Queen Hannah Sainsbury – whose position is sponsored by Highbridge Caravans – visited to give her support along with members of the Carnival Committee, as pictured here.
Phil added: “We are grateful for all the support and want everyone to know that we are open as usual.”
“We also went ahead with our open weekend and had many people calling in to give us their backing. Our staff have pulled out all the stops to help us clear up and recover.”
Burnham Scouts and Secretworld also attended the firm’s open weekend, providing extra attractions to the visitors.
