Strong winds caused damaged to several businesses in Burnham-On-Sea on Monday (November 23rd).
Burnham’s Esso petrol station in Love Lane was forced to temporarily close for several hours after the winds tore away part of its canopy, pictured here.
The station was closed by bosses amid concern for the safety of customers on its forecourt below.
A large metallic advertising sign outside the Esplanade Fish Bar on Burnham seafront was also snapped by the gales.
Forecasters predict more stormy weather will hit the Burnham area overnight into Tuesday.
