One of the highest tides of the year gave Burnham-On-Sea’s beach a good clean on Saturday morning (September 11th).
The town’s flood gates were closed by the Environment Agency at the jetty and Maddock’s Slade as a precaution.
A 12 metre high tide swept in on Friday night, and an 11.7 metre tide on Saturday morning saw waves splashing over the sea wall and lapping against the foot of the dunes, as pictured here.
