A popular Burnham-On-Sea gift shop has expanded into new premises this week.
Hidden Treasures initially opened in a unit in Burnham Shopping Centre two years ago before moving to a premises in Regent Street last year.
Now, after attracting further customers and seeking to grow their line-up of stock, the shop has opened in the High Street.
Manager Jane Jenkins told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We’re delighted with our new larger premises which allow us to sell a wider range of products and is in a more central town centre location.”
Beverley Milner Simonds, Town Centre Manager, added: “The relocation of Hidden Treasures into prime High Street premises is a real good news story for the retail economy in Burnham.”
“Since opening in May 2013 in the Burnham Shopping Centre, Jane has steadily grown her business.”
“In April 2014 Jane moved into retail premises on Regent Street, adding the Build-a-Bear service in March this year.”
“The move into these newly refurbished premises on the High Street in time for the summer season is a demonstration of her success.”
The current vacancy rate in the town centre is 5.7%, showing that is faring much better than many other towns and cities.
Bev added: “As a part of my role I work with local landlords, new and existing businesses owners to match up supply and demand; on this occasion both tenant and landlord are very happy with the speed of the let.”
