Hickleton Collectors Club anniversary celebrated

-

Burnham-On-Sea’s Second Deputy Mayor helped to celebrate the first anniversary of a town charity shop’s collector’s club this week.

Cllr David Poole cut a special birthday cake at the Sue Ryder shop in the town’s High Street to mark the first anniversary of the Hickleton Collector’s Club, a unique group set up for dolls house collectors and enthusiasts.

The group has 50 members in Burnham-On-Sea and thousands across the country, who also help the Sue Ryder charity raise money for people with neurological diseases and life-limiting illnesses.

Members of the Burnham club were invited along to the shop to celebrate the occasion. David said: “I’m delighted to show the town council’s support for this very worthwhile charity. They do a great deal of excellent work in our area and across the country.”

Deputy Mayor David Poole is pictured cutting the birthday cake alongside Burnham -On-Sea shop manager Helen Roberts and Burnham club member Delma Court.
