Burnham-On-Sea’s Princess Theatre will be taking part in a national Heritage Open Days event this Saturday (10th September).
This nationwide event is being held to celebrate the UK’s hidden heritage – and many buildings will be open to the general public for free, or displaying parts of buildings that would normally be closed.
Princess Theatre Manager Sam Nicol told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We’ll be opening up our backstage area and the lighting gantry and loft space for folk to visit.”
“To get up to the lighting gantry and loft requires people that are quite agile as it involves vertical steps, but backstage is all on one level.”
“We will be opening up the areas between 10am-1pm and there will be small group tours. Anyone can pop into the Arts Lounge and join a group.”
