A wildlife rescue charity near Burnham-On-Sea is in desperate need of food due to an influx of hedgehogs.
Secret World Wildlife Rescue Centre in East Huntspill now has more than 100 of the creatures in its care, many of which are underweight.
Centre staff are asking for cat food to help feed them and any financial donations.
Founder Pauline Kidner tod Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We have been hit by the credit crunch lately and contributions have fallen dramatically over the last six months.”
“We want to make sure all the animals have the best possible chance of recovery and food is desperately needed.”
