Burnham-On-Sea teenager to hold sponsored head shave

-

A Burnham-On-Sea teenager has received charity pledges for more than £2,500 as he holds a sponsored head shave this weekend.

James Tandy, 18, will be losing his locks to raise funds for Wallace and Gromit’s Grand Appeal, helping Bristol Children’s Hospital, where his 16 year-old cousin is currently receiving treatment.

James’ head shave will take place in the foyer at Highbridge’s Asda store at 12 noon this Saturday (January 10th) when Burnham barber Mike Lowe from Hair Of The Dog will be holding the clippers.

He told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “I have received lots of support from generous sponsors already with £2,557 pledged in donationsm which is fantastic!”

“I am getting lots of great support from family, friends and supporters and hope to see a good turnout on Saturday. People can still sponsor me via my Just Giving donations page.”

James’ sponsorship page is online here, where he has received dozens of donations.
