Burnham-On-Sea groups celebrate autumn with harvest suppers

-

Harvest suppers have been enjoyed by two groups of Burnham-On-Sea residents over the past week.

80 six members of Burnham’s Moose International Lodge and guests held their annual harvest meal on Saturday evening (September 17th) at Berrow Village Hall.

After the grace by Reverend Sharon Crossman from St John’s Church in Highbridge, meals were served up by the ladies circle.

Entertainment followed from talented vocalist Bruce Hudson and the night was rounded off with a charity auction and raffle which raised £286 for local charities. Lady President Valerie Wills thanked everybody for attending.

Meanwhile, the staff of Burnham’s Frith House held a tea-time harvest supper for their residents.

With tables laid out banquet style, and entertainment from country-style music duo San Antone, the elderly residents were treated to a special harvest tea.
