Police were called to this car after it crashed into a ditch at an accident blackspot near Burnham-On-Sea on Friday night (October 14th).
The estate left the road in Harp Road between the villages of Brent Knoll and Mark.
The car was recovered, as pictured here, to ensure no-one was inside as Police said much of the vehicle was submerged below the waterline.
Police said a glass hammer had been used by the occupants to get out and no-one was seriously hurt.
Police said they always recommend that drivers carry a hammer to smash glass windows in their vehicle as a precaution.
