It promises to be an adrenaline-filled Half Term Holiday for children at King Alfred’s Sports Centre in Highbridge with a packed programme of activities.
The high energy events are designed at inspiring local children to get fit and active.
“The packed programme of new and exciting activities will encourage children to take on new skills and explore new challenges, from a 7 metre climbing wall and an assault course, to learning how to make a bushfire,” a spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
The week finishes with a special free open morning on Saturday February 20th for parents and children to try the new innovative Prama Training studio which is revolutionising the way to the work out.
Monday 15 February
Action and Adrenaline Day
Scale a 7m high climbing wall, fire paintball guns, run the assault course, develop bushcraft, skills and learn how to light a bushfire and roast some delicious marshmallows! For 5-11years age group 9am -3pm £22 per day.
Tuesday 16 February
Fast and Furious Day
Challenging and competitive games that are full of fun to try, Welly boot throwing, water bomb fights, sack races and much more with prizes and goody bags to win. For 5-11years age group 9am -3pm £22 per day.
Wednesday 17 February
Swarm Fire…a Day of Battle and Tactics!
Xbox War Games come to life in the King Alfred Sports Centre Sports Hall!
Swarm Fire is played with Spider Victor markers, Velcro body armour and Velcro target balls. Body armour and equipment is supplied but just bring courage, tactics and friends to enjoy. For 10-16 years age group! 10am-12pm or 1pm-3pm. £15 a session.

Free Opening Morning
Parents and children are invited to take on the challenge of the new interactive multi-sensory Prama training studio which has just been installed as part of a £450,000 refurbishment of the King Alfred Sports Centre. Does Mum have what takes to triumph? Or does Dad have the moves to win or will the kids show them how to take on the ultimate high tech fitness challenge in the UK today?
There will also be an opportunity to try out the new 35-station gym, the dedicated spin studio, the outstanding Badminton and Volleyball facilities, and meet the staff.
