Burnham On Sea Half Marathon returns after 12 year absence

A half marathon that once attracted 1,000 runners to Burnham-On-Sea is returning after a 12-year absence.
The Burnham-On-Sea Half Marathon was last held in 1993. But its return on Sunday, October 2, 2005 is being hailed as another great sporting event for our town which already boasts an Aquathlon, Triathlon and the Stert Island swim.
Sedgemoor District Council’s leisure and lifestyle unit will organise the event with help from running club Burnham Harriers.

The 2005 Burnham Aquathlon will be held on April 10 and the 2005 Triathlon on June 12 with entry forms available from King Alfred Sports Centre, Burnham Pool and at the foot of this page.
