Young gymnasts from across Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge are celebrating this week after winning a haul of medals in a European competititon.
Monarchs Gymnastics Club has returned from competing in Germany with fantastic results, winning 27 medals in total.
“All the coaches would like to say a massive well done to everyone who competed – you should all be hugely proud of yourselves,” said the group’s Mandy Warburton.
The winners included Jacob and Monique (1st in balance, dynamic and combined); Emmy, Casey and Gina (2nd in Balance, 4th in dynamic, and 4th in combined); Alice and Freya (5th balance, 5th dynamic and 4th in balance final).
Joe and Kian won 2nd in balance, dynamic and combined. Jenny and Evie won 2nd in balance and dynamic. Emily and Jess were 3rd in combined. Joe and Mason were 1st in combined. Toby, Jack, Hayden and Jack were 1st in combined.
Mandy added: “We would also like to thank SDS photocopiers for kindly buying all the gymnasts and coaches and t-shirts, and Lidl in Burnham-On-Sea for very kindly donating money towards the coach trip.”
