A top guitar musician will be performing a concert in Burnham-On-Sea this Saturday (11th February).
John Mills’ concert at Burnham’s Princess Theatre will feature a wide range of music with John’s virtuoso partner Cobie Smit.
“A legend amongst the UK’s finest concert guitarists, John Mills took up guitar at the age of nine, subsequently studying with John Williams at the Royal College of Music, and then with Julian Bream and Andres Segovia in Spain,” says a spokesman.
“Since his 1971 UK debut at the Wigmore Hall, he has given countless recitals in concert halls, universities, and stately homes throughout the UK, Europe, SE Asia, Australia and New Zealand.”
“John Mills has recorded seven albums, and is often heard on BBC Radio 3. He is in great demand for master-classes and seminars in established seats of learning all over the world, and was a Professor at the Royal Academy of Music for 20 years and at the Welsh College of Music and Drama.”
The concert will be part of the new ‘Try It, You Might Like it Deal’ where visitors can book for three or more of these shows over the season for greatly reduced ticket prices.
Tickets are priced at standard £10/Concessions £8 and limited numbers of seats are now available via the Box office on 01278 784464.
